Things To Do

From taking a pleasant stroll through our historic downtown and stopping to enjoy a bite to eat at one of our fantastic restaurants, or enjoying a walk on one of our many walking and hiking paths, there is a great blend of activities for everyone.
Art Trail
Art Trail Tecumseh is a free outdoor sculpture exhibit, waiting for you to explore, on your own time, at your own pace. The sculptures will be on display in Tecumseh throughout the year with new sculptures installed in the spring each year.
Take a self-guided tour through downtown and enjoy Art Trail Tecumseh, our free sculpture exhibit. It is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon with family and friends. Don't forget to include the Tecumseh High School Sculpture Garden on your tour as well.
Art Trail Tecumseh is a Downtown Development Authority project and made possible with funding through the DDA, the Sage Foundation and MCACA - The Arts Alliance.
Biking, Hiking Trails and Walking Paths
Take a stroll along the Indian Trails walking path and you just might see a doe with her baby fawns scampering through the woods along the river. Mallard ducks, Canadian geese, blue herons or an occasional swan can be seen along the shores of the mill pond, and if you are lucky you may see a bald eagle fly overhead! If you watch patiently you might catch a glimpse of fish jumping out of the water to catch their daily meal. Not a day goes by that you won't spot a young family or grandfather and grandchild fishing along the shores.
Classic Car and Bike Show
Start your engines! Car and motorcycle enthusiasts will find the various car meets throughout the year a great place to spot rare classics, torqued-up custom cars, and stunning motorcycles on display. You'll be able to meet other automobile lovers to talk shop and admire vehicles you're not likely to see on your daily drive.
Fairy Door Adventure
Do you know the magical stories behind the fairy doors you've likely spotted around town? Tecumseh's Fairy Doors are a favorite for imaginative minds young or old. Pick up a clue map to get started on your adventure to find all 22 locations around the city!
Farmers Market
Tecumseh's Farmers Market is a weekly fixture of Downtown Tecumseh! During the Spring and Fall, stop in on Saturday mornings at 213 North Evans Street to shop and buy from your neighbors. Featuring everything from farm fresh foods to tasty treats and handmade crafts, you'll find something unique every time you visit!
Geocaching
What would you say to a modern-day treasure hunt? Geocaching is a fun game for all ages where you hunt around the area to find hidden caches placed by local residents. All you need to get started is a smartphone with a GPS!
Or you can spread the joy and create your own geocache for other Downtown Tecumseh geocachers to find!
Music in the Park
Discover new sounds and your next favorite musician at Tecumseh's Music in the Park. Starting in June and running through August, every third Thursday of the month jams out with a new free concert series in our beautiful Adams Park.
The Tecumseh District Library
The Tecumseh District Library has everything you need to learn and explore. In addition to a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction books, the library has a multimedia catalog including audio books, eBooks, and other digital resources. Stop in and see what you can discover!
Parks

Enjoy a variety of trails for hiking and biking, open green space for playing and picnics, or spot the abundant local wildlife who make their home in the area.
